Looking at the first half of  2011 versus the first half of 2012, there was a 16% increase in the number of homes reported as sold, and a 25% increase in the number of foreclosures sold in Santa Maria.  Overall, the days on market and price per square foot remained about the same, but the average list and sales price dipped substantially; the average list price dipped 12.4%, and the average sales in Santa Maria price fell 10.8% when compared to the first half of 2011.
