Beautiful day today. According to an article in the Santa Maria Times entitled, “Two-county visitor spending tops 2 billion,” tourism brings about 2 billion dollars to Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County combined. $1.37 billion in Santa Barbara County, and $1.03 billion to San Luis Obispo County. This is the first year that San Luis Obispo County broke the 1 billion dollar mark, and tourism is now the number one industry in that county.  Apparently, lots of people appreciate the many beautiful days we have here on the central coast.   Today, I will look at the Arroyo Grande and Grover Beach real estate markets.  Two charming little cities in San Luis Obispo County; they are great places to visit, but even greater places to live.

There are currently 284 homes on the MLS market in Arroyo Grande and 64 homes currently pending or contingent.  In the past 30 days, 39 homes have sold, and 60 homes have been newly listed.  The most expensive home was around 3000 square feet on 2.5 acres and went for $1.4 million.   At the current pace, inventory will turn over at about 13.7% every 30 days.

In Grover Beach, there are currently 75 homes on the MLS market and 27 homes pending or contingent.  The past 30 days have resulted in 13 sales , and 23 homes placed up for sale.  The most expensive home sold for $655,000 and was about 1800 square feet, on less than an quarter acre of land.  At the current pace, inventory will turn over at about 17.3% in 30 days.
